Carrying The Chain Saw
There are several ways to safely carry the chain saw. The correct methods for moving from tree to tree or to where you will begin cutting are as follows: First, turn the chain saw off and engage the chain brake. Hold the chain saw by the top of the handle bar with the bar/chain facing behind you. On larger/heavier chain saws, Professionals will wear a protective pad on their shoulder, balancing the chain saw with the bar/chain facing forward and the power head behind the shoulder. Special care must be given because if a fall occurs, cuts to the neck and arms are possible. Try not to use this method. |
